Lotte Nuria Adler
Lotte Nuria Adler, born 1998 in Düsseldorf, is one of the most distinguished mandolinists of her young generation. In addition to the Neapolitan mandolin, she is proficient in playing the Baroque mandolin, as well as the Renaissance and Baroque lute. She performs with various national orchestras such as the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne or the Austrian Ensemble for New Music. Lotte Nuria Adler is a prize winner of the most prestigious national and international music competitions such as 2nd International Solo Mandolin Competition in Luxembourg, International Yasuo Kuwahara Competition in Schweinfurt and 4th Concorso Internazionale per Mandolino Solo in Modena. Lotte Nuria Adler has been a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation since 2018. Her ambition is to make a weighty contribution to the recognition of the mandolin as a fully-fledged concert instrument. To this end, she is breaking new ground by transcribing works originally written for violin. Her second CD Bach x Ysaÿe was released in December 2022.
